Tetrakytis symbol, greek gematria. Bringing order and logic to the
world, numbering, data, statistics. Taking the road less traveled. Avoiding
mass hysteria.
Pythagoras/Knossos
Pythagoras (c. 570–495 BCE), linked to Knossos via Minoan influences and the Eleusinian Mysteries (c. 1600 BCE origins), founded a school in Croton emphasizing mathematical harmony, as per Diogenes Laertius. Mandaean Maswetta/Tamasha baptism purified the mind, reflecting hidden relationships in the Tetraktys. His unique idea of numbers as cosmic underpinnings ordered the world logically.
Plato
Plato (c. 428–348 BCE), Pythagoras’s intellectual heir, developed ideal forms in works like The Republic, influenced by Eleusinian rites at Athens. Mandaean Rushuma hand washing symbolized intellectual clarity, aligning personal reason with universal truth. His distinctive theory of Forms elevated abstract order over material chaos.
NeoPlatonists
NeoPlatonists, led by Plotinus (204–270 CE), synthesized Pythagorean and Platonic thought, with texts like Enneads exploring the One. Mandaean masbutta raisin wine rituals ascended to ZiwaNahura Paradise, uniting mind and cosmos. Their unique emanation cosmology structured reality hierarchically.

Water Element (Days 1–15): Purification and Flow
Basis: Water symbolizes life and purity in Mandaean
spirituality, rooted in rishama (hand washing), tamasha (self-baptism),
masbuta (ceremonial baptism), and ritual vessels like the qinta flask and
mambuha cup (Qulasta, CP 1–19; Mandaeans of Iraq and Iran).
Feast (Day 1): Prepare bread, dates, and water, blessed with: “In the name of Hayyi Rabbi, I partake of the Jordan’s bounty.” Reflect on Miryai’s river devotion (Qulasta, CP 77).
Fast (Days 14–15): Abstain from heavy foods, sipping mambuha (water with crushed grapes) to overcome Mercury’s fluidity and the matarta toll houses.
Nefesh (Body and World, Days 1–5)
Focus: Physical purification rituals.
1. Hand Washing (Rishama)
Basis: Rishama cleanses hands and
face daily for purity (Mandaeans of Iraq and Iran).
Exercise: Fill a bowl with clean
water and face north. Dip your hands three times, splashing water on your
face, reciting, “In the name of the Great Life, water from the House of
Life washes my hands and face, purifying my soul for the Lightworld and
the enlightenment of nasirutha.” Dry with a white cloth, imagining impurities
dissolving into the Jordan’s flow.
2. Foot Cleansing
Basis: Foot washing in rishama grounds
the body (Qulasta, CP 3).
Exercise: Sit with a basin of water.
Wash your feet slowly, massaging each sole, saying, “By the strength of
the Jordan, whose waters flow from the worlds of light, my feet are cleansed
to tread the path of Hibil Ziwa toward nasirutha.” Dry and anoint with
olive oil, feeling rooted in divine purity.
3. Qinta Flask Blessing
Basis: The qinta flask holds sacred
water (Qulasta, CP 19).
Exercise: Fill a small flask with
water. Hold it, reciting, “From the Jordan of the Great Life, this water
flows, a stream of light that sanctifies my soul with the radiance of Ziwa
and Nhura.” Sprinkle drops around your space, drink a sip, and visualize
nasirutha awakening within.
4. Miryai’s River Meditation
Basis: Miryai’s river devotion inspires
purity (Qulasta, CP 77).
Exercise: Sit by a stream or visualize
one. Dip your fingers in water, tracing your palms, saying, “Miryai stands
by the Euphrates, her heart a pure offering to the Great Life, and so I
offer my soul to the flowing Jordan for nasirutha.” Let the water’s sound
guide you to peace, reflecting on Miryai’s resolve.
5. Mambuha Cup Offering
Basis: The mambuha cup holds blessed
water (Qulasta, CP 5).
Exercise: Fill a cup with water.
Raise it, saying, “This is the mambuha of the Great Life, whose living
waters rise from the House of Life to nourish my soul with the light of
Ziwa.” Sip slowly, pour a small amount onto the earth, and feel the Lightworld’s
essence within.
Ruh (Praise and Divine Beings, Days 6–10)
Focus: Praising divine beings and scriptures.
6. Prayer for the Jordan
Basis: The Great Jordan is a divine
entity (Qulasta, CP 13).
Exercise: Stand facing north with
a bowl of water. Dip your fingers, tracing the Mandaic letter “A,” reciting,
“Hail to the Jordan, river of living water, whose streams flow from the
worlds of light to wash the souls of the righteous seeking nasirutha.”
Reflect on its eternal flow, feeling connected to Hayyi Rabbi.
7. Praise of Manda d-Hayyi
Basis: Manda d-Hayyi brings gnosis
(Qulasta, CP 25).
Exercise: Sit, visualizing a radiant
figure. Chant, “Manda d-Hayyi, messenger of light, thou art a savior who
brings manda to the worlds of darkness, guiding my soul to nasirutha.”
Write “manda” on paper, burn or bury it, and feel his enlightenment awaken
you.
8. Alphabet Contemplation
Basis: The alphabet is divine, inspired
by Lurianic letter meditations (Secret Adam).
Exercise: Write the Mandaic letters
A, B, G, D, H. Meditate on each, saying, “The letters of the Great Life
are sparks of light, forming the bridge to the worlds of radiance and the
enlightenment of nasirutha.” Visualize them glowing, connecting you to
Ziwa and Nhura’s truth.
9. Hibil Ziwa’s Descent Chant
Basis: Hibil’s descent to darkness
(Qulasta, CP 170).
Exercise: Hold a glass of water,
chanting, “Hibil Ziwa, thou didst descend into the darkness and rise with
light, a guide for the souls of the faithful seeking nasirutha.” Sip the
water, visualizing his journey, and affirm your ascent with him.
10. Zahriel’s Rescue Prayer
Basis: Zahriel’s rescue by
Hibil, inferred from Secret Adam.
Exercise: Light a candle,
praying, “Zahriel, thou wast lifted from darkness by Hibil’s hand, and
with thee my soul seeks the worlds of light through the radiance of Nhura.”
Pour water into a bowl, visualizing her liberation, and reflect on your
own freedom.
Nishimta (Sublime and Divine Realms, Days
11–15)
Focus: Visualization, altars, and divine realms.
11. Jordan Visualization
Basis: The Great Jordan as
a celestial river (Qulasta, CP 66).
Exercise: Sit before a bowl
of water. Close your eyes, visualizing a radiant river, saying, “The Jordan
flows from the House of Life, its living waters washing my soul and lifting
it to the worlds of light for nasirutha.” Imagine merging with its flow,
free from planetary bonds.
12. Altar of Water
Basis: Water vessels on Mandaean
altars (Mandaeans of Iraq and Iran).
Exercise: Place a flask and
cup of water on a white cloth. Sprinkle water around it, reciting, “This
altar is a gate to the Lightworld, where the Jordan’s waters flow from
the Great Life to sanctify my soul with Ziwa and Nhura’s light.” Meditate
on the water as a portal to nasirutha.
13. Lightworld Ascent
Basis: The soul’s ascent,
inspired by Lurianic tikkun (Qulasta, CP 170).
Exercise: Imagine rising through
layers of light, saying, “With Hibil and Zahriel, I ascend to the Lightworld,
gathering sparks of the Great Life’s radiance for nasirutha.” Sip water,
visualizing divine sparks merging with your soul.
14. Fast: Mercury’s Defeat
Basis: Overcoming Mercury’s
deception (Mandaean Book of John).
Exercise: Sip mambuha, chanting,
“By the light of Hayyi Rabbi, the chains of Mercury dissolve, and my soul
rises to the worlds of light through nasirutha.” Visualize Mercury’s influence
fading, meditating on Yushamin’s restoration.
15. Fast: Toll House Liberation
Basis: Bypassing the matarta
(Diwan Abatur).
Exercise: Hold a mambuha cup,
praying, “Hibil Ziwa, guide my soul past the toll houses, for the Great
Life’s light shines beyond the darkness, revealing nasirutha.” Visualize
passing through gates, sipping mambuha to seal your freedom, reflecting
on Abatur’s rise.
