FORTNIGHT OVERVIEW
Basis: Water symbolizes life and purity in Mandaean
spirituality, rooted in rishama (hand washing), tamasha (self-baptism),
masbuta (ceremonial baptism), and ritual vessels like the qinta flask and
mambuha cup (Qulasta, CP 1–19; Mandaeans of Iraq and Iran).
Feast (Day 1): Prepare bread, dates, and water,
blessed with: “In the name of Hayyi Rabbi, I partake of the Jordan’s bounty.”
Reflect on Miryai’s river devotion (Qulasta, CP 77).
Fast (Days 14–15): Abstain from heavy foods,
sipping mambuha (water with crushed grapes) to overcome Mercury’s fluidity
and the matarta toll houses.

Mind: Qlipoth
meditation. Assiah (Material World – Qlipoth, Malkuth, Yesod):
Section 1: Confronting Darkness and Grounding (Parts 1-3)
Part 1: Qliphoth – Thaumiel and the Five Kings of Darkness (Days 1-5)
Focus: Aspiration amidst chaos, igniting the soul’s yearning for light.
Practice:
Place a bowl of water on the altar, symbolizing masbuta baptism,
the sacred purification of the Great Jordan.
At dawn, face north and perform the Fivefold Breath for 3 minutes:
Inhale through the nose for 4 counts, visualizing radiant light from the
Great Jordan filling your body. Hold for 5 counts, feeling the light stabilize
in your core, connecting to Tibil. Exhale through the mouth for 5 counts,
releasing impurities into the Sea of Suf. Hold empty for 5 counts, sensing
the void of potential aligning with your true will. Pause for 4 counts,
mentally intoning “Hayyi Qadmayi” and setting a Tikkun intention, connecting
to the World of Light.
Visualize a stormy void split by a jagged rift, Thaumiel’s shadow
of unity. See the Five Kings of Darkness—Zartai-Zartanai, Hag, Mag, Giu,
Krun—on obsidian thrones, radiating discord. Envision Hibil Ziwa descending
with Great Jordan water, baptizing Zahriel, a bound figure clutching a
stolen orb of divine radiance, as they rise above the Sea of Suf’s chains
toward a star of aspiration. Join them, immersing in the Jordan, feeling
the Great Life’s light awaken your soul’s yearning.
Contemplate inner chaos—fear, ego—setting a Tikkun intention
to ignite divine aspiration, as Hibil and Zahriel begin their ascent.
Vibrate “MANDA D-HAYYI” and intone from Qulasta (CP 76): “When
I stood in the darkness of the Seven, the Life’s radiance broke my chains.”
Close with the void softening, the star brighter, grounding
in Tibil.
Duration: 15-20 minutes.
Mystical Phrases:
Qulasta (CP 76): “I stood in darkness, and the Life’s light
broke my chains.”

Life’s command.”

clothed me.”
Qulasta (CP 55): “The Great Life’s radiance shatters the dark’s
hold.”
