FORTNIGHT OVERVIEW
Feast/Feb 17 Paradigm shift. Yeshu and Miryai
as a new way. Baptism of fire vs Yohon's water. Miryai and her dream sister,
anima, and being led from within. Thinking outside the box. Open mindedness.
Cultural shifts. Renewal.
Yeshu (Jesus, c. 4 BCE–30 CE), a Nazorean per the Gospels, introduced a baptism of fire, diverging from Yohon’s water rites. Mandaean prayer beads and mantras (“Good is the good…”) created heavens, fostering openmindedness. His unique internal guidance via spirit marked a cultural shift.
James
James the Just (d. 62 CE), Yeshu’s brother and leader of Jerusalem’s Nazoreans per Acts, emphasized practical faith. Mandaean margna staff and morning breeze prayers grounded Ptahil’s worldmaking, renewing tradition. His distinctive leadership bridged Jewish law and new ways.
Miryai
Miryai, a Mandaean heroine (c. 1st–2nd century CE texts like Ginza Rba), symbolized animaled renewal through dreams. Mandaean drabsha banners and Ginza readings dealt with demon shells, thinking outside norms. Her unique feminine archetype guided spiritual exploration.
